My name is Klarth F. Lester...
As is stated on the front page, Klarth F. Lester is a character in Tales of Phantasia, a marvelous role-playing game. ToP first came out in 1994 for the SNES; however, its release was limited to Japan. Undaunted, a translation group called DeJap stepped in and created a translated patch for the ROM so that we English-speaking people might enjoy the game. ToP has been remade three times, but only the GBA version made it outside Japan. (Which is a very bad thing seeing as I would love to play the PSP remake, which features new voicework and images and squeeness zomg.)
Anyway, some basic statistics on the resident summoner:
Name: Klarth F. Lester (Claus in the GBA release)
Age: 29
... When I remember to get his bio thing I'll put it here. Really.
Klarth is one of six (five in the SNES version) playable characters in ToP and techinically the fourth one to join, since Chester has a brief stint with the party. Klarth is a summoner, which is blatantly obvious considering his weapons are books. srsly how can you fight off teh evil with BOOKS? It is, however, highly amusing to watch him whack monsters with books. XD When in his proper element, Klarth frankly pwns, considering his summons are usually rather strong. They can also be used as many times as you have the TP for (I think it was TP. I always called it MP anyway since I'm used to that) rather than as a one-time thing.
Klarth has the following summons:
- Sylph
- Undine
- Gnome
- Efreet
- Maxwell
- Luna
- Shadow
- Aska
- Volt
- Origin
- Gremlin's Lair
- Chameleon
- Pluto
Yup, he's pretty spiffy that way. :3 He can use all of these in the GBA version and all but (put here) in the SNES version. (Don't ask about the PSX or PSP versions, I don't know. D:)
In the anime, he summons all of the following at some point: Sylph, Undine, Efreet, Maxwell, Aska, Volt, and Origin. Origin probably has the most awesome summoning sequence, as it's sort of the focus of Episode 3. :D Maxwell is also really cool.
omgwtf I actually did a semi-decent about page. Go me. This will later be extended into a shrine because, quite frankly, I adore Klarth. I just have very little time. D:
